Tattoo Business Today in Poland – Why I Created the “pogadajŻE” Seminar – A Personal Perspective from the Owner of Sztorm Tattoo

I don’t speak from theory. I run a tattoo studio, manage a team, talk to clients, make decisions, and deal with the everyday challenges that come with running a business. I’ve been part of this scene for years – not just as someone who tattoos, but as someone who watches closely how this industry evolves, grows, and struggles.

That’s why I decided it was time to do something new. Not for clients. Not for social media. But for the people behind the tattoo scene.

That’s how “pogadajŻE” was born – a seminar I’m building alongside Tattoofest. It’s a space for those who keep the machine running: owners, managers, receptionists, and independent artists. It’s a place where we can speak openly about what it really means to run a tattoo business in 2025.

Tattooing is expanding. But is it maturing?

I’ve seen tattooing gain more recognition in recent years. More people treat it seriously – as an art form, a lifestyle, even an investment. But at the same time, I see a lack of tools, language, and space to talk about the business side of it all.

A lot of people come into this world driven by passion. That’s a good start. But passion alone doesn’t get you far when you’re dealing with payroll, taxes, burnout, marketing, studio growth, or client relations. And when those conversations do happen – it’s usually when things have already gone wrong.

Tattoo Business Today in Poland

This isn’t a conference. It’s a real conversation.

“pogadajŻE” isn’t about fancy branding or panel discussions for show. It’s a day of real, sometimes uncomfortable topics – the ones that keep coming up in my day-to-day conversations with others in the industry. This time, we’re not keeping it behind closed doors. We’re bringing it to the surface.

At Sztorm, we don’t pretend to have all the answers. But we’ve made enough mistakes and learned enough lessons that I feel a responsibility to share. Not to teach, but to build something stronger together.

The topics come from real life, not PowerPoint

We didn’t choose topics to impress anyone. We chose them because we live them – every week. This is what we’ll be talking about at the seminar:

  • Managing money in a tattoo studio.
  • What happens when you get stuck or burned out.
  • Building a personal or studio brand that means something.
  • What “client service” actually looks like beyond a smile.
  • The ongoing tension between owner and artist – and how to make that relationship work.

I invited speakers I trust – not because we always agree, but because I respect how they think. And I believe real value comes from honest disagreements.

What Sztorm and Tattoofest stand for

For me, tattooing is more than a profession. It’s a scene, a culture, a responsibility. That’s why, at Sztorm, we commit to projects that have substance. Not just beautiful images or contests, but real work – educational, reflective, and community-driven.

We’re not perfect. But we’re present. And “pogadajŻE” is one more way we show up – not just for ourselves, but for the bigger picture.

What’s next?

I don’t know if this seminar will change the industry. But I do know that if we want to be treated like professionals, we need to start treating each other that way too. My hope is that “pogadajŻE” becomes part of an ongoing dialogue – one that lets us look at tattooing not just through the lens of art, but also of structure, growth, and relationships.

And I know this: this conversation is only just beginning.
